Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1946, Ron began his musical journey at age eleven studying accordion with Alexander Matos. At age sixteen, after hearing Dave Brubeck play live at Carnegie Hall, Ron discovered his passion for jazz piano. Now living in Homer, Ron serves on the faculty of Kalamazoo College, teaching jazz piano, improvisation, theory and composition.

They first met in the summer of 1991, crossing paths as performing blues musicians. Whether stomping out a blues on the front porch, deciphering a rag in the basement, or swinging on a lazy day in the back yard, they’ve been finding ways to put guitar parts together for years.
A straight up singin', guitar slingin', songwriting, crowd-pleasing Blues man. Son of a preacher man and woman, he has achieved incredible success and proves to be one of the most skillful yet animated Blues performers around. Playing all over the US and in Europe since 1989, his fan base continues to grow and grow. He has recorded 9 albums and sold over 100,000 copies.

Formed in 1994 and has been causing quite a stir since then. The Stax-Volt legacy is definitely alive and kickin' with these players! This group is a product of the 'Motor City' and is a reflection of the very essence of Detroit - Emotion, Fire, Pride, and Soul.
For over fifteen years this multi-talented native Detroiter has graced and dominated Michigan's most attended events. She has performed over two hundred shows a year with grace and stamina. Her voice is strong, commanding, melodic and smooth. She tells her stories with incredible delivery and leaves her audiences wanting more.

His awesome band play iconic Rhythm & Blues and Funk over 100 nights a year and have won the Detroit Music Awards for Best R&B Band five times. Detroit Music Award "Best Rhythm & Blues Band" Winner 2008, 2007, 2003, 2002, and 2000.  
Formed in the mid-90s, they honed their chops backing up blues and R&B stars like Earl King, Johnny Adams, Albert Collins, and Johnnie Johnson, before devising their own brand of funk jam blues, and becoming one of the most popular live bands in the Detroit area.

A 16-piece jazz band, created in 1999 by jazz pianist/composer, Scott Gwinnell. The Detroit based SGJO has performed internationally and has won numerous awards. They have released two CDs, Basement Vibes and Brush Fire. Winner of several Detroit Music Awards.

Founded on the love of horn driven music, they are dedicated to bringing only the best possible music and performances to the stage. Playing literally the best of "rock, pop & soul" such as, Tower of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Sly & The Family Stone, hits from Motown and much, much more.
Among Detroit’s most versatile musicians. They have joined forces with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band (2006 – 2007 Face The Promise Tour), as well as Clarence Clemons and the Temple of Soul. Locally they have appeared with The Brothers Groove, Johnnie Bassett and the Blues Insurgents, Thornetta Davis, Root Doctor and Alexander Zonjic. Recent CD releases include The Verve Pipe, Ben Cyllus, The TaleGators, Root Doctor, Liz Larin, Midtown Underground, Carl Craig and Tribe, and bluesman Johnnie Bassett.

The son of Mississippi born and raised parents, grew up to the sounds of the blues and R&B music in his hometown, Detroit. Gerald started playing guitar at the age of 16, influenced by Prince and 80's rock guitarists. He rediscovered the blues and listened to the music of Albert King, ZZ Hill, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His debut album “Hell and Back” reached #1 on Roots Music Report's Blues Chart for Michigan based artists and remained in the top 20 for many weeks in a row.
