Born in Huntington West Virginia, Butch grew up in a large family with very little money. Moved to Michigan in 1966 for work. Retired in 2006 but has been playing music for over 40 years. Life stories drive his songwriting.

Started playing guitar at 23 when seeking out lessons from Delta Blues guitarist, Shari Kane. The Willie Dunns (John Devine, Jef Reynolds and Stuart Tucker) brings added depth and musical styling to Jo's original songs as well as classics from such artists as Mississippi John Hurt, Bessie Smith and Tom Waits.
Started his solo career in 1996, after buying his first guitar with high school graduation money. Wyatt went on to play in front of audiences right away at open mics, bars and clubs throughout Kalamazoo. Released 1st album “Go Anywhere”, in 1999.
About two years ago, singer/songwriter Bobby Pennock emerged from a self-imposed sabbatical from performing. Since that time, he has recorded two records worth of material (though released on one CD) and has performed many gigs as a solo, acoustic artist, as part of The Pennock Stephens Project, and, most recently, with the electric Bobby Pennock Band.

At the age of 14 his dad brought him home a 4 string banjo which started his love for music. He was lead singer in the band Westwind that played around Muskegon in the late 80's. He honed his writing skills over the next several years while working in Nashville which has led him to where he is in his career today.

An indie-folk outfit from Grand Rapids that defies musical stereotypes. Using three-part vocal harmonies, eclectic instrumentation and a knack for dynamics, they create organic music that is both accessible and innovative. Each live show features contagious energy as well as original music that ranges from whisper quiet ballads to danceable grooves. Their debut cd, "Safe Ship, Harbored", is due to be release in May 2011.

Formed when its four members were students at Michigan State University.
