Aug. 2-5, 2012 (Thur.-Sun.): Woodtick Music Festival - U.P.
19th Annual. Featuring a variety of regional and not so regional bands on 2 stages. Includes music from several genres. Tickets range from $30 to $45 with kids under 12 free.

August 3-5, 2012 (Fri.-Sun.): Bluegrass In The Park - Atlanta
Free bluegrass festival. Donations accepted in the big orange bucket to help with expenses. Bring your own lawn chair. Individual competitions in guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin; band competition and band scramble. Parkin' lot pickin' all weekend. Camping available.

August 5-6, 2011 (Fri.-Sat.): Michigan Roots Jamboree - Ypsilanti
A two-day outdoor music and art festival showcasing the finest talent the midwest has to offer.This family-friendly camping event will bring together both local and regional acts on two stages. From rock to bluegrass to jazz and funk, The Michigan Roots Jamboree has over 25 acts providing something for everyone to enjoy. Tickets $50 (for weekend and camping) to $15 (single day pass).

Free festival showcases the traditional cultural treasures of the nation's Upper Midwest and a sampling of the best of traditional artists from around the country and the world. There are five performance stages including one with a 2,400 sq. ft. dance floor.

Raising money to help fight Cystic Fibrosis. Thursday Free admission. $20 Friday or Saturday. $35 for the whole weekend in advance. Children under 16 free.

39th Annual. 160-acre festival, juried arts and crafts show, raffle, children's activities, teen and young adult activities, instrument and dance workshops, music, food. Jam sessions can be found throughout the campgrounds all weekend long. Tickets start at $20. Children $7.
